....and not in a good way:
- Hot flashes (lots of them-too many to count). I'm looking for a more natural way to manage peri-menopause. If anyone has any experience or suggestions, I would appreciate some input here.
- 'Heated' discussions with my hubby. I was totally hormonal the last (3) days! I haven't felt like that in years. He was probably glad to leave this morning for his business trip.
- Overactive 'hot' appetite. You don't really want details about that-it wasn't my best (72) hours.
- My calm demeanor (heat shield) may have nearly been blasted off. I'm looking towards getting myself cooled down.
So....
I'm off to prepare for work, and hopefully enjoy this beautiful day that is brewing around here. I'm looking for the other Jeri-this newer 'hotter' version has got to go. She's wearing out her welcome!
Best Wishes for a good week, for you and me.
Here's to cooling off Jeri! Hope you had a great mothers day! Sending hugs and love.
ReplyDeleteYeah my hot flashes are attacking me a ton lately too. Have a great day :-)
ReplyDeleteI have noticed on the days I exercise that my hot flashes and night sweats are not as bad. (Also when I don't eat sugar.)
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Hope you get some relief soon.
ReplyDeleteHot flashes are the pits! I am hot, then freezing, then hot. It disrupts my sleep and that makes me cranky! I am hoping at some point in life they go away!
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought being "hot" would be such a pain in the a$$?
Good luck!
Let me know what you figure out! I woke up completely covered is sweat several times last night. It doesn't happen every night, so I want to learn what foods trigger or repress it. I used to think flaxseed oil helped, but I have it everyday now in my spinach shake.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some good advice to offer, but I don't. I hope you had a good Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't last forever I promise! I went through menopause early (seems to run early in my family) and luckily it wasn't too bad. I was taking some herbal supplements during that time and didn't have it too bad I think. Moody - yes, hot flashes - yes but never to the point of sweating. At night even now I sometimes sleep with just a sheet while my husband has three blankets on. I just like the cool air!
ReplyDeleteI found my hot flashes went away completely when I stopped using Truvia. I'm very sensitive to foods/supplements and several things trigger them for me, including all natural cranberry supplements. You might start by eliminating Truvia if you use it or look for anything new you've added recently. Good luck!
