Deja vous

I am home again...for 12 days or so. I think since November I've 'been home again' (5) times, and I'll be leaving  around March 12th and again early April!
I'm not complaining, just sharing. It's been wonderful to prepare for and celebrate new babies. Mixed in there has been the passing of two loved ones, and the terribly sad, tragic break up of a marriage/family (not mine, one of my children's). It's okay if my brain is stretched, right?
Ladies, with all this coming & going;  I'm having a hard time getting focused in my weight loss efforts. I am so happy for many of you, as I got a little caught up this morning on your blogs...you're doing so well, I'm proud of you!
I'm slacking-that's the truth of it. I'm not giving up, just sharing.
...another example of deja vous.
Take Care

  1. I'm glad you home and safe. I know it's hard sometimes to stay on track, but you have to decide what is more important to you in your life. That's all.
    Have a great day :-)

  2. I'm so sorry for all the sadness and pain that you are going through. As far as your diet goes, I think you need to have a good sit down with yourself and decide what your reasons for eating healthy are at this point. So much has changed in your life since changing your diet initially, maybe your reasons have changed and that may be part of the reason you're having a hard time staying focused. Step back and look at the big picture of your life where it's at right now and decide what your reasons are now as you move forward.

    Hugs

  3. This is so much a brain game and your brain is on other important things. Don't worry, you will come around again. Just try small changes every day, and remember...we are here:)
I feel for you. My oldest son and his wife struggle every few years. They have made it 10 and are in a good place now, but I always worry when the next rough spot will come. My granddaughter from my son's first relationship is going to come and live with them full time. She is 12 going on 20 and it will be an interesting transition for them. Parenting is always harder in "real life".
You are in my thoughts and prayers!

  4. Don't give up! Every day you gotta start over, and I agree with the others, think about what you want to do. If right now it's to maintain your weight, be real and accept that. I think that's and OK answer, too, just make it intentional. :)

  5. It really is hard to concentrate on weight issues when there is so much going on with your life. I think the best thing to do would be pick a few BFC things you really like and have them over and over so you wouldn't have to think about it too much. That's sort of what I've been doing the last couple weeks to make it easier on myself. Anytime I feel like snacking I brew a cup of hot tea instead to keep the hunger away. The only drawback to this is I have to stick close to a restroom!

  6. Thinking of you Jeri and sending you love, hugs and prayers. I know what you are going through as far as having difficulty keeping your head in the game, so to speak. I like Beth's idea. Just try to automate your eating as much as possible. I have difficulty when I'm out of the house and at my brothers, as my normal stuff isn't around. Just doing the best I can! Don't give up. You can join me in the"Slowest loser club"!!But at least we're not giving up!
