Sunday Evening...

My precious love ones are sleeping, so I have a moment to catch up a little.
My trip went well, and a book on tape make the 12 + hr drive 'pleasant'. On the way here I got news my 101 1/2 year old Granny passed away. She took care of me a lot when I was little, so I have many happy memories.
The weather cleared and brightened up long enough for me to take a nice long 5 mile walk today with my son.
I got to snuggle with my little grand daughter and have her tell me I was her best friend. So in this worry-filled day there were many good things scattered is like that you know.
Take care all!

  1. So sorry about your grandmother. What an accomplishment to make it to the wonderful age of 101. I'm sure she had a wonderful, memory filled life. Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your family. Especially love that your little granddaughter calls you her best friend. Precious! Big hugs to you from me!

  2. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. I'm sure the snuggles from your granddaughter helps. Take care of yourself.

  3. I am so sorry! I've recently lost my grandmother too, and I know how it feels. Glad you are with your family at this time. xoxo

  4. Sorry to hear about your Grandma. She sure lived a full life. I'm glad to hear that your drive went safe.
    Enjoy your family time :-)

  5. Hi Jeri, I'm also sorry to hear about your grandmother but am in awe at what a long life she had. The five mile walk with your son sounds wonderful and the snuggles with your granddaughter - priceless. Now YOU are the granny making beautiful memories.

  6. So sorry for you loss Jeri! I say there is nothing like a good walk to clear your head. You really sound like an awesome Mom and Grandmother... makes me miss my family far away.
