Celebrating along the way...

Thanksgiving Day 2011

This is what 171 lbs looks like on me.  (Yes, I just posted that!)  I have  least 30 lbs to go.
When I'm at goal::
Will I be happy with how I look?
Will I dislike my less taunt skin?
Will I still be unhappy with my belly?
Will I be able to celebrate what I've accomplished?
Will I feel satisfied?
...just things I think about.

  1. I love your outfit! I just ordered some knee boots today! You look tall because you certainly don't look like you weight 170 lbs. You look beautiful!!!
    Since I am at my goal for the most part, I will answer your questions honestly...
    No:( I still see the tummy that carried 13 lbs of twins, I still see the skin that is getting older and not as firm, I still see issues that will always be there. But I am still amazed, when I have clothes on, not to see the big belly that I would try and hide with pillows are anything else I could grab when I sat down. That is an amazing feeling!
    I hope we are always a work in progress. I think the only way for perfection is really good genetics are a great plastic surgeon!
    Blessings:)

  2. What a great picture! You look fabulous! Those things are all great to address now, and along the way. Because someday you'll be there, and you will need to be happy! I can't tell you if you'll be happy at your goal or before, but I do know that if you don't make peace with your body as it is, you'll never be happy. I'm struggling with this right now, being 'at goal' or 'in maintenance' or where ever I am today. :) Not feeling happy, and trying to figure which path to take.

  4. Beautiful pic Jeri and super cute outfit. I think that once you lose the weight you want you will still have to purpose to be happy with your body. I think that's just part of being a woman when we look in the mirror we see all the things that could be better. Have a wonderful day :)

  5. Great picture Jeri. You look happy and cute. I don't think I will ever be happy with my body. I would kill to have my young twenty something body, and I wasn't happy then either. That is the challenge, to accept and make peace with it. Good luck on the journey. Hugs from me to you!

  7. Jeri, I LOVE that picture of you! It looks like something out of a magazine, really! I'm close to you in the weight dept. at 168lbs. I'm just trying to get to 150 though. I'm not sure you've got thirty extra pounds left on you!
