"Whatever you're looking for... it's not in the pantry"

...that's what my husband told me last night.
 He was right.
I was feeling frustrated from a meeting I had had earlier, and I  had spent some time 'venting' to my husband.
When I was done, I got up:
went to the pantry
opened a bag of tortilla chips
 and ate one
...very quickly.
In the old days I would have eaten a lot more than one-I would have probably finished the bag.
I ended up drinking another cup of  Pero, and ate a square of chocolate
So I'm making progress after all.
We all are.
I hope you have a good day-and find what you're looking for :)

  2. I am very proud of you for only eating 1. You are right in the old days we would have eaten a ton.
    Great job GIRLY :-)

  3. Isn't it funny how we turn to food to make us feel better? It really doesn't though. Remember that old advertisement for potato chips? "We dare you to eat just one" - well you proved them wrong!! Good for you. I had to look up Pero to see what it was (natural coffee substitute). That and a chocolate actually sounds like a much better choice than chips. Good for you!

  4. I can literally walk around in circles looking for some kind of food to make me feel better! I think the difference now is that it has to really sound good! Good job on the limited chip. Our emotions certainly add a new level to weight gain/loss!
Your husband is a wise man, my husband would have been to chicken to say anything!!!

  5. Great saying. I have to remember to ask myself that...what am I looking for? I think the answer would be many other things besides food!

  6. I have to say OH SO TRUE! we are learning from our past mistakes. Why is it we always go for food in times of stress? Or why dont we grab veggies lol?
