Fast Track Monday

Good Day-
It's Monday and often that day seems to be a day of beginnings. Some of you might be starting FT, or whatever you feel will lead you or keep you fit and healthy. Yeah for us in whatever path we're on.
I began FT yesterday. I really think that being aware...and striving to follow BFC for the last few months made FT'ing a really easy transition-so far!
I do lots better if I 'listen' to what I need.  I'm rarely led too far off IF if do that.
Here's  my eating for yesterday, not too different from Jorge's recommendation.

Bfst:
2 eggs
2 sausage patties (vegan...as that's what I had on hand)
1 T parm cheese
Lg hand full of spinach
Commentary on veggies for bfst...I'm just going to do it. I like the fullness of it, and I feel better eating more greens. I'll generally add veggies at every breakfast

Lunch:
Chicken breast wrapped in Boston lettuce w/avocado

Dinner:
Spinach salad w/ little tomato-Chicken breast and 2 T hummus
Commentary on hummus: I love it!  It was the 'dressing' for my salad. I'm going to keep eating it on FT, too.

Snacks:
walnuts
dark chocolate

I drank lots of water
Pero w/ cream- Pero is a cereal beverage-I'm not a coffee drinker, but this is good substitute for me. A little cream and vanilla, and it tastes like a treat.
A nice walk in the evening with my man.

Goals for today:
Buy some probiotics
cook up bok choy & mushrooms to have on hand
Enjoyable movement...walk, a nice long walk.
Healthful/mindful eating

I send caring greetings your way as well, and I hope you have a really good day!
Jeri

  1. Sounds like you did great on your first day of the FT. If you keep eating like that every day w/o cheating you will lose weight for sure.
My st-mom drinks Pero all the time because its decaf and she loves it.
    Have a great day.

  2. Sounds great! I think technically, hummus is a legume and not a fast track food, but we all make adjustments that help keep up the non grain diet so I think if you want to do it, go ahead! Personally, I'm keeping my salad dressing and coconut bread. Girls' gotta do what a girls gotta do.:)

  3. I think you are off to a great start!! I'm not following the recipes in the book exactly but I am going to stay away from all carbs that are not in vegetables or my dark chocolate of course! I don't think the hummus is a deal breaker. My husband is middle eastern so I know how good hummus is!

  4. Hubby and I are also doing the FT, I think we are gonna try to base our meals close to the menu, but also do our own thing like you. Right now the FT is so new to me it feels weird, but I want to give it a fair shake. It is nice that several of us bfc'rs are trying the FT together. Have a great day :)

  5. Hi Jeri. Love your meals. Some great ideas ( chicken in boston lettuce with avocado). On my blog I did one post where I compiled breakfast ideas from all the blogs. I have to remember to do one for lunch too. It gave some great ideas and everyone gets so creative. Good luck on the fast track!
